Tour Information

 

Tour No. 1 One day excursion Chiang Mai history, culture, way of life.

8.30amdepart from Chiang mai Grand view hotel to the old town. Visit Wat Chedi Laung (the temple of huge pagoda). The temple is located in the center of Chiang Mai old town. It was built by king Saen Maubg Ma in the 14th century. The construction of pagoda continues until the mid of   15th century to be finished during the reign of king Tilokaraj. In 1468 the Emerald Buddha was installed in the eastern niche for 83 years. In 1545 the upper 30 meters of the pagoda collapsed after an earthquake.
10.00am leave from temple to Sankamphang. Visit Thai silk factory, learn the process of making Thai silk which is amazing that nowadays this handicraft is still done by hands. The various selection of souvenir to take home for good memory.
11.30amtransfer to lunch at orchard Thai restaurant at Mae-On district.  
13.00pmafter lunch leave for Ban Pong Hauy Lan village. This community is the successful model of community based-tourism management. The community live in their harmony life and earn for their living from agriculture and handmade handicraft made from cotton. They are promoted to be CIV village. "Creative Industry Village: CIV" refers to a community that combines cultural capital, lifestyle, creativity, and design to create new value for products inspired by the local community for tourism, thus generating new economic value based on the concept of the creative industry. Enjoy your experience by participate with villager to make homemade dessert.

Tour No. 2 Half day tour Kanta Elephant Sanctuary

Am pick up at 7.00am / Pm pick up at 13.15-13.30

Pick up from hotel and then ride on the van about 1 hour up to northern mountain of Chiang Mai. Visit the Kanta Elephant Sanctuary, this elephant park offers visitors an enjoyable opportunity to spend quality time with elephants in their natural home, as well as gain an insight into their history and behavior. Visitors shall enjoy feed them with banana and sugarcane and may go into water with amazing friendly and happy elephants in a safe and greenery environment.

11.30 return to Chiang Mai. (17.00 for pm tour)

12.30 arrive Hotel. (18.00 for pm tour)

 Tour No 3 Half day tour Wat Doi Suthep and Wat Srisuphan (Silver temple)

8.30 leave from hotel to Doi Suthep. This is a “must see” site of visitor to Chiang Mai must tour. A trip up to the monastery on top of Doi Suthep mountain. The temple is a sight in itself, and its perch on top of a mountain provides a panoramic view of Chiang Mai and its environs. The original founding of the temple remains a legend and there are a few varied versions. The temple is said to have been founded in 1383 when the first stupa was built. Over time, the temple has expanded, and been made to look more extravagant with many more holy shrines added. A road to the temple was first built in 1935.
Then return to town and visit Wat Srisuphan (The Silver temple). The temple is located in silver making community, was built in 1500. The skillful hands of craftsmen gathered to make the new ordination hall from silver and aluminum. This is the only one silver temple in Thailand. Get some experience by making your own metal embossed in shape of Chedi Srisuphan and keep it as your memory of Chiang Mai. Then enjoy free time on own to support the local community products.
